The NYChillharmonic is a female-fronted, Brooklyn-based, 18-piece, progressive-rock orchestra whose music fuses multiple genres including rock, pop, and jazz, which ultimately creates an ensemble sound that acknowledges the tradition of jazz as much as it sonically embraces experimental textures, arrangements, and harmonies. Led by vocalist/composer, Sara McDonald, the music fuses multiple genres including rock, pop, and jazz, that ultimately create an ensemble sound like nothing you have heard before. The rhythm section is composed of Adam Neely, Shubh Saran, Josh Bailey, and Eitan Kenner

The group has performed at world renowned festivals such as The Montreal Jazz Festival, The Perth International Jazz Festival, Keio University Jazz Fest (Tokyo), Moers Festival, The Take The A Train Festival, Mazzstock Music Festival, The International Festival of Arts and Ideas, The Northside Festival, Nublu Jazz Festival, and The East Village Music Festival. They regularly perform on the stages of premiere rock and jazz venues in NYC and have had notable performances at ASCAP’s ‘Songwriters: The Next Generation’ Showcase at The John F. Kennedy Performing Arts Center in Washington D.C., The David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center, Joe’s Pub, The Sheen Center, National Sawdust, and The Iridium in NYC. NYChillharmonic compositions, written by Sara, have twice been awarded ASCAP’s coveted ‘Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award’ and the ASCAP ‘Phoebe Jacobs Prize.'

Aberdeen is a jazz/indie rock brass band also based out of Brooklyn, New York. They create a wall of sound with soaring, horn-driven melodies, supported by a bed of distorted guitars and raucous drums. Brian Plautz is the primary songwriter in the band, along with Alex Conroy and Shubh Saran. The band, featuring saxophones, trombone, trumpet, two guitars, bass and drums never ceases to fill a room with energy.
